Every Morning...
This blog post is from a writing prompt “Every morning…” I hope it brings you some joy!
Every morning dawns a new day, fresh with possibilities, hopes, and even challenges.
Every morning is the chance to rise to our greatest potential, to thrive, to serve, to hope.
Every morning we have a new chance at success – however we may define it – some mornings that is simply getting out of bed. Count that as a win and carry on through the day – you can do this!!
Every morning we have a chance to make a difference – to make someone’s day a little brighter, maybe even only our own.
Every morning we are washed clean with fresh possibilities, exploring the future as it blooms into the present, like a rose opening in the early summer sunshine.
Every morning we can make a fresh start, leaving behind the old thoughts, the old habits, the old patterns that held us back and dragged us down. We are stronger than we think and we are all capable of great change.
Every morning we create our own new adventure, full of blessings and light – shall we travel a forest? Climb a mountain? Go shopping at our favourite store? Why not do all three?
Every morning is the embrace of love, welcoming us with open arms, cheering “Today is the Day! You can do this!”
Every morning we wake with fresh eyes, if slightly groggy and full of sandy grains, sprinkles of the sandman’s slow retreat.
Every morning we have the chance to see things with a fresh perspective, not weighed down by the burdens of the past.
Every morning we have the chance to forge a new path in the wilderness of our mind, to learn new things, new thoughts, new possibilities.
Every morning we can take what was a bad day yesterday, and turn it into an amusing anecdote, another one to put under the heading of “The enemy on his best day couldn’t take me out on my worst!”
Every morning we can celebrate another win – we’ve made it to another day, one full of joy and possibility – we only have to see it! All there for us to enjoy, appreciate, and share with others.
Every morning can be a challenge for some, but it is a challenge we can always win, even if only by a little. Celebrate those small wins - we’ve earned them!
Every morning we have a chance to bless others simply by being us – by being there for them, being someone they can chat with, confide in, talk to, laugh with.
Every morning we can choose to be the ray of sunshine to help the flowers grow – and sometimes we are the rain, watering the plants with our tears, if we need to express sadness. We can choose to be the rain when we need to, then let ourselves be sunshine again. Breathe. Pray. Love one another.
Every morning we are blessed with the greatest love in the world, and we did not have to do anything to earn it.
Every morning we are loved, simply for being who we are, faults and all. God loves us all. Let us share that love with one another. Amen!
